PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
LEVEL DESIGN
- Developed new game components, game play and ideas consistent with the company's design philosophy.
- Generated level content from the ground up- from level maps made in Photoshop/Illustrator to creating 3d geometry and scripted sequences using the Unreal 3 Engine.
- Worked with programmers, artists, directors, and producers to develop the game with minimal supervision.
- Assembled and contributed design feedback on character classes and non-combat game play issues.
- Worked cross functionally with Producers, Developers, Testers, and QA to ensure excellent game play.
WRITING AND DOCUMENTATION
- Produced articulate design documentation detailing game play mechanics, mission walkthroughs, story-lines, interface design, and control systems for entire game.
- Created maps and diagrams to communicate design ideas to artists, producers and programmers.
- Edited and refocused design documentation as needed.
- Wrote dialog, voice lines and general story.
- Wrote detailed feedback for debugging purposes.
- Wrote backgrounds and gameplay for both pen and paper and miniatures-based RPG supplements.
- Communicated with customers and players to provide feedback to development teams as well as to assist in general customer service duties.
MANAGERIAL AND BUSINESS SKILLS
- Owned and operated a small private business for over 10 years, concentrating on selling Pen and Paper RPGs, Miniatures RPGs, Comic Books and commissioned art.
- Familiar with both California and Washington small business tax law.
- Experienced at handling communications and troubleshooting difficulties with large and small distributors.
- Experienced at handling customer service, both in-person, over the phone as well as through email.
- Lead Design experience: holding the vision of the game, making decisions about overall gameplay and game mechanics.

ART AND GRAPHIC DESIGN
- Provided layout, design and hand-drawn art for a long-running fan magazine focusing on gaming in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth.
- Provided hand-drawn art for pen and paper and miniatures-based game manuals.
